What can you do to help?

Take a moment to write the following leaders stating your objection to the negligence, cover-ups and lies of our U.S. Consulate. By finding justice for Darren, we can make a difference for others who mistakenly put their confidence in the hands of U.S. Consulates abroad.

Otherwise, what happened to Darren Russell won't be the last.

Write to the Department of State asking them to make the people involved in the negligence, lies and cover-up of Darren's murder accountable. More needs to be done to give precautions to American teachers going to China to teach. The DOS said there is too much information to monitor and the schools are like "mushrooms growing in the dark". They have asked me to share my website of precautions at www.teachinginchina.net for advice. They said it would take a full time staff to monitor the good and bad schools in China, but there is also the issue of the U.S. Consulates helping Americans when they call. There was shock to see a 4-1 staff ratio of 43 Americans and 170 Chinese local staff working at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou during April/May, 2005.

Write to the following Congressmen, women, and Senators to ask for their continued aid in trying to get truth and justice as well as congressional hearings with appropriate subcommittees. Senate hearings are also needed. When contacting the Congressional Executive Committee on China the response was they only look into human rights violations of CHINESE citizens, not Americans.

People should request members of Congress to request a GAO study. It would help to make the request to a majority Republican and/or a senior minority Democrat such as Congressman Henry Waxman or Congressman Howard Berman. What they should request is a study looking into the treatment of American citizens by the consulate/embassy in China and the problem of allowing the Chinese government to dictate ALL the local employees in the consulates/embassy.

Thank you all for your help and due diligence. My only goals are to get truth and justice and to hold the U.S. Consulate accountable in their negligence and cover-up.

Morally, this must be done.
